Today I got my offer later for Auditor in CGDA (Delhi Cantt) , and they have asked to appear before 5 October. Guys I want to delay the joining as I will be writing UPSC mains in Dec.
Please tell me the process. Will the department take 2-3 months more to ask me to join or "offer later" means immediate joining? I am not aware of these processes.

These ranks are distorted because after 4901 only reserved category were ranked. After 6332 only 2 categories and physically challenged are included. If the ranking after 4901 included the general merit too, the actual ranks of those selected via quota would have sounded like pin-codes or who knows phone numbers.

I was just going through the timeline for the joining formalities of Central Excise Inspectors selected through CGLE 2013.
· Result announced on 25th March'15
· Zone Allocation letter issued on 20th May'15 (56 days from the date of announcement of result)
· Zone allocated on 1st Sept'15 (104 days from the date of issuance of zone allocation form)
· Joining by 31st Oct'15 (220 days from the date of announcement of result)
Result of CGLE 2014 has been announced on 2nd Sept'15. If CBEC follows the same timeline, we can guess the following -
· Zone Allocation letter will be issued on 28th Oct'15
· Zones will be allocated on 9th Feb'16
· Joining by 9th April'16
Therefore, those amongst us who are predicting that the joining will be done by April'16 are somehow correct.
In ssc cgl 2014 cutoff analysis
it has been given that for css UR the reqd cutoff is 499.75 .Is it after adding interview marks?
i called 011-24353343 information and felicitation center of SSC and asked about if there is any revision of result. he said NO, result declared is final and marks would be uploaded in few days.
