correct me where am i wrong ?1729 = 13*7*19 = 13*7*11 + 13*7*8 = 1001 +13*7*8 => 1729^ 17280 = 1001K + 13*7*8 = > rem = (13*7*8) / 13*7*11 = 13*7*8 = 728Thanks in Advance
You have neglected the exponent :/ remainder will be 13*7*8^17280.
@Ibanez said:
364 Number of the form 7k and 11C+1. only 364
why remainder will be of such form
@hedonistajay said:
why remainder will be of such form
it is divisible by 13 and 7 and gives remainder 1 when it divides with 11..
ie 11k+1 = 13.7.x
@hedonistajay said:

1001=11*7*13

on div by 7 , we get rem 0 as 1279mod7 =0
on div by 11, 1729 mod 11= 2 so 2^172980 mod 11. E(11)= 10 so 2^10k mod 11= 1
hence 11k` + 1

Do you have a problem handy on the third point ?
I can make one πŸ˜ƒ

Question : Amount of 2000 is deposited in a bank at an annual rate of interest of 8% p.a. What will be the approximate interest generated after 1.5 years if the interest is compounded every 3 months. ?
@YouMadFellow
SI CI are something I have no idea about coz never tried to get an idea πŸ˜›
I have been wondering why mocks were devoid of questions on CR and FIJ ? We might get questions on these topics in cat :O

Don't worry. SI/ CI murder the purity and beauty of mathematics. They were invented by devious, immoral and treacherous bankers to fool people. I hate finance :angry: ..

How ?

What I would do is this:

Amount = 2000*(1 + (8/4)(1/100))^6 = 2000*(1 + 2/100)^6

Binomial expansion -> Amount = 2000( 1 + 12/100 + 6C2*4/100^2 + 6C3*8/100^3 +..negligible terms)

Amount = 2000( 1 + 0.12 + 0.006 + 0.00016)
Interest = 2000*(0.12 + 0.006 + 0.00016) = 252.32 ?

I don't know whether the answer is correct or not. :(

Exactly, in fact what you said encompasses the whole of arithmetic. I just remembered a line, Torture numbers, and they will confess to anything, ----so valid for arithmetic :P

Is the answer to your coined Q---->1173.74
used the concept of compounded growth rate to do it πŸ˜‰

How can the answer be more than 50% of the principal amount ? 8% is the interest rate. For one year, it will be 160, for one and the half year, it should be close to 160 + 80 = 240.. I am getting 252.32.. Check the post above πŸ˜ƒ

12/k times a year means...... shouldn't 12/k be equal to 4 ? (as it is given every three months, means 4 times a year), and if that is true k should be 3 but you have taken 4.

Please correct me if i am wrong. Thanks :)
