There is a group of 200 students, where each student studies one or more of the three subjects among Aeronautics, Biotechnology and Cryogenics. The number of students studying cryogenics is more than the number of students studying aeronautics, which, in turn, is more than the number of students studying Biotech, which, in turn is more than the number of students who study exactly two of the three subjects, which in turn, is more than the number of students who study all the three subjects. It is known at least 1 student studies all the three subjects.
1. What is the maximum number of students who study Biotech? (148,148,150,147,None)
2. What is the minimum number of students who study Biotech? (67,68,69,70,None)
3. If exactly half the students study cryogenics, what is the maximum number of students who study all three? (30,31,32,33,None)
4.What is the maximum number of students who study only Aeronautics? (100,99,98,97,None)
APPROACH is what I am looking for ...
For these type of questions by drawing Venn diagrams
let studying only Aeronautics ,Biotech and Cryogenic be a,b,c
studying both A and B but not c=d
studying both B and C but not a=e
studying both A and C but not b=f
studying all 3 be x
For 1st: I concentrate on maximising x here in this problem. So I put a=b=c=0.And then put d=0,e=x/2,f=x/2+1 to satisfy the given condition of C>A>B>Exactly two>All three. Then it becomes 2x+1=200. The maximum value of x here can be 99.Hence,x=99,e=50,f=51.Hence B=99+50=149. Sahi hain kya bolo???

I don't mind watching dead rubbers till the time the quality of football is good. I am a big barca fan, however I still believe if theres one team that can beat barca with their own pass-move-pass game, that has to be arsenal. And Barca-Chelsea and Barca-Real is more a test of courage, endurance and big match patience and less of real quality football.. Having said that, I respect all teams for their quality. I ain't no Zidane to comment on them. It is just my opinion, and all respect to your opinion as well
True man....But for a neutral a dead rubber is awfully boring and what u have said is all true which is why Barca-Real is such an anticipated match. Its like saying XAT is better than CAT in terms of quality which might be true but the sheer pressure and the reward involved in CAT makes it more worthwhile and prestigious than XAT and its the same with these matches.
