(2^20)^5 - 1 = (2^20 - 1)(2^80 + 2^60 + 2^40 + 2^20 + 1)

^^ Thus, HCF = 2^20 - 1.
In short, x^6 - 1 and x^5 - 1 are divisible by x - 1.
