You are correct ,sir. I too had the same doubt, but first ka conclusion correct ni laga meko
First wala thik hai.

My reasons:
1. Potrait wale metaphor ka logical extension.
2. Woh first line main continuous potrait and option 1 main unfinished potrait ka correlation.

One very handy trick is to relate the last sentence to the idea first introduced in the passage.
Paragraph usually end concluding the purpose they began with.

Koi logical galti dikhe toh please point it out.
Belief in the power of subliminal perception to induce changes in the way people feel and act is so widespread that a number of companies have been able to exploit this belief by marketing subliminal selfhelp audio and video tapes. The companies that market these tapes claim that regular use of the tapes can cure a variety of problems and aid in the development of many skills.______
1. Each company markets a number of different tapes.
2. Some of the more popular tapes are claimed to help individuals stop smoking, lose weight, or reduce stress.
3. What distinguishes the different tapes marketed by each company are the embedded subliminal messages
4. All of these studies have failed to find any evidence consistent with the claims of the companies that market these tapes.
5. In fact, there is even evidence to suggest that many subliminal self-help tapes do not even contain subliminal messages
