12k ? I'd highly recommend Cort guitars. Don't go for anything else. Check them out if you haven't already. The same company manufactures them that does Ibanez. They have EMG pick ups and neck thrus in a model as cheap as 15k !! Amazing sound and built. Seriously go for a Cort. Nothing else in that budget. ( And it's versatile, u can play almost any style, just like Ibanez :D)

Yamaha...and in that range, its the best. You can go for customized ones, but they will burn a bigger hole in your pocket!

Although, if you can push your range to 18000, you'll get a good jump in quality.

Yeah, I was talking about Pacifica. And personally, I dont think shelling out more than 12k makes sense if you are a begineer..Again personal opinion differs..but i have this one and I love it!! :P

Get the cort X series. preferably ones with EMG pick ups shud be around 14k

Trust me when I tell you A 15k Cort is equivalent in terms of quality of sound built everything to that of an Ibanez 20k guitar. Same company manufactures them. Many pros are endorsing Cort these days. Don't go for anything else when ur budget is

I dont remember getting marks in scorecard...they most prolly provide percentiles only..not sure though...
