BITSAT dene tak itna bada gap aa gaya tha ki I got a paltry 301 (which was a very below avg score back then, aajkal ka pata nahi kya system hai). AIEEE mein to 2 page padh hi nahi paaya tha because of slow speed, so eventually IIT scraps were the best I had. And I wasn't a stellar student in the colg either, so "tag" ka to kuch raha hi nahi...
@fisherking Mujhse to BITSAT clear hi nahi hua tha, isliye to IIT mein jo bhi mil rha tha lena pada. JEE dene ke baad I was sure of clearing it with a 2k smthing rank, fir baad mein pata laga 1k aur jud gaya estimate mein.

I too gave BITSAT. Pilani main M.Sc Dual Degree mil raha tha, liya hi nahin as I was not aware that time ki yeh bhi accha hota hai :splat:

On the contrary.. I pawned bitsat.. as i already said.. but maata pita said.. ki beta iit iit.. so had to leave bits compu for civil in iit vns.. and now I am in a big hole of deep shit.. aur ab bolte hai .. ki beta Software company hi le lo.. Kuchh padha to hai nhi 4 saal me.. naa Civil naa Software.. Road pe baitha hoon!

Secondly, humra taang tuta (read bruised+sprains) pada hai aur humka flight leke wahan nahin aaenge. Bahute paisa lagta hai and abhi tak pehla salary nahi diye hain humko company waale :P

@hanushanand Haan Stats ka bhi course offer karta tha KGP, abhi band ho gaya mere jaiso ko dekh ke. Maths & Comp was the best Integrated MSc course, par wo to 2500 rank pe hi band ho gaya tha. Stats was next in preference, followed by Eco.

Core mein to zyaada aati hai nahi campus pe, aur non-core waale exclude hi kar dete hai kaafi baar is deptt ko. :/ Bahut logon ne katwaya tha, assume kiya tha ki BTech hone se hi achievement ho jaayegi.

Arey, Actlly there is this proff-known of mine at kgp.. in maths deptt.. Unse I had a talk at the time of admissions.. he said.. ki yhaan aa jao.. then u can get ur branch changed.. so was planning for all that.. but anyways.. its all gone.. 4 yrs almost.. no point discussing.. and M&C; guys are the most benefited ones.. waise you too had grt exposure with stats and all.. hamare yhaan to economics bhi nhi padhate.. khud padhna padta hai! 😁

@hanushanand Bhaiya tum Pilani CS le lete toh ab tak tumhara placement MS main toh ho jaata(they took 26 ppl with a package of 11-12 lpa) aur plus tumhari aukaat hoti bol ne ko BITS Pilani ka CS graduate.Agar tumhe aisa case mile koi doosre aspirant main toh use pls sidha sa advice de dena.Hamari baat toh koi sunta nahi hain thinking that its just sour grapes.
Aur haan hume C/C++/JAVA aati hain isliye toh soch rahe hain placement ke baare main!! :D
