Here, I have to individually unsubscribe from emails from every thread that I follow (oh and not all threads show this button) and even after that, the button still shows subscribed to emails. Now that seems to be a bug.

testing@[8964:deepu] for this post first I quoted above post and then delete that quote by editing it.. I am unable to post directly (without quoting anyone). Browser (mozilla) freezes if trying to post directly.

In chrome it is working right. I can't use chrome at my office. I use chrome at my home, It works perfectly.

can you guys check now. there was a bug with overall unsubscription for forum emails. i fixed it now. you should not get forum emails, if you have unsubscribed in the email settings page.
