A salesman sells two kinds of trousers: cotton and woollen. A pair of cotton trousers is sold at
30% profit and a pair of woollen trousers is sold at 50% profit. The salesman has calculated
that if he sells 100% more woollen trousers than cotton trousers, his overall profit will be 45%.However he ends up selling 50% more cotton trousers than woollen trousers. What will be his overall profit

Yeh sab toh Mumbai mein bhi hota hai! iske alawa, TFT screens pe test hota...ek chotte se cubicle mein; jisme 3 1980s waale computers lage rehte hain. IMS ke yahi haal hain, India ke commercial centre mein..bechaare Varanasi ko kyun dosh dete ho..
There's nothing wrong in directing attention AWAY from something
_/\_ .. I am quoting the exact answer given is solution manual : 'Directed away' is not the correct usage. The sentence conveys that the people's attention was taken away from the civil war for some time . In this context, 'diverted' is a more appropriate word.
You are correct too. I am confused now. Maine initially sahi kiya tha.....Bhalai ka jamana nahin raha

I think divert away is the correct usage indeed. We can't "direct" something "away". either taken away or diverted away sounds fine.
