Missed sbi-po by 3 marks. I've been watching people questioning about selection procedure of sbi this year, specially sectional cutoff. but blaming it just because u aren't through is not fair. everything was transparent, sectional cutoff was zero because they expected students to somehow score the overall cutoff. sm of us took advantage of it, others didn't. so, dont blame it just because it yielded nothing to u. u missed because of ur hard luck. try better next time. I scored below 10 in gd still m happy. I can see my graph with positive slope and m sure next year I'll b through. And congrats to all sbi n ippb po's.

No offence to anyone but just choose an option from your heart. You are a PO now so you can be judicious in your answers as well instead of calling us cry babies. We were on same boat few weeks ago and we were saying things like "Iss baar to 40 se niche na chale jaaye cutoff". Now the picture is clear and cutoff is 46.59 I just want to ask you if sectionals were taken into consideration, what would be the Gen cutoff? (No hatred please, just trying to get the thought process of everyone).
PS- Kudos to those who made it through easily despite no sectionals.

Congratulations to all the selected candidates. ....I hope to see myself at the receiving end of all these wishes next year ( missed this year because of English)
I have taken it in my stride and moved on , but there is an argument going on that had there been no sectional cut off they would have been in.
Some people on PG saying that they scored more than 5 in all the sections doesn't mean all the students share the same fate, let's not foreget they were nearly 50000 students who took the Mains test with us.
The cut off is not decided on individual basis , it depends on the over all performance ( how all the 50000 students performed) . People saying cut off can't be 0 or very low should understand that 0 is not the least score one could get, many of them must have scored negative.
It's not about how I or you performed , it's about how all the students performed when it comes to deciding the cut off which solely lies in the hands of the bank.
And I also want to say to all the candidates that don't be so arrogant yaar , be empathetic . It's not that only you guys are talented , all the students who reached till here are equally talented, it's just that sometimes things don't materialise and luck also plays some role.
a short anecdote...
I also wrote the IB exam .. had solved 40+ questions in three sections apart from maths..then started with maths and went into loggerheads with the wrong question.. that average one..i tried it multiple times thinking I was the one getting it wrong over and over again..I already had encountered a few of those in the previous sections as well..so completely miffed, I turned in a blank OMR sheet in silent protest..( had I done just a few more in maths and marked them , I would have still crossed the cutoff i reckon..but my heart was just not into it..)
few days later...I get through in SBI with more than decent marks in GDPI ..that is to say..without any hiccups.. no 9/30 shit or whatever...
So yeah..karma ??? and then some.. 😂
It seems Indian people are more strong in English than in Quant. Else how come it be possible that so many scored a 0-1 like scores in quant and no talk of such scores in English?
