I am here to give the one size fits all answer to all ur queries regarding the interview marks. As much as I know marks are not given at first they just have some indication of reject not recommended avg recommended sure fit type of scale. They then see profile , marks and a lot and them arrange marks to get candidates. Not sure of it but i strongly feel its how selection proccess works.
I got 76.5 in mains and in gd pi only 22 ... Not selected...someone got 67 and in gd pi got 48(how is this possible..in gd 18 and interview 30 out of 30) selected... Bah sbi...and they said sbi recruitment is fair...
Can I file any RTI or something???
Hello all... 2016 batch po here.. It's really bad on the part of sbi to remove sectional cut off. Its a joke on the face of those who are toiling day and night to clear these exams. I have no words to express my sadness. With this move, there has remained no scope for hardworking people. I have personally worked really hard to clear my quants cut off last time. Now, when I see this, it feels disheartening. Pathetic.!!!!
Shocking news. The 0 in di is true . Its of one of my frnd's acquintence's . Thought it was rumour.
So my final PO exam ended in a weird manner. It is very sad to get so close and yet come back with empty hands. Missed final cutoff by 1.5 marks, or to say it in other words had I got 19/30 in PI I would have been a SBI PO. For which I started my preparation way back in December 15, still in my 4th year, for the upcoming SBI PO 16. Maybe it was my fault also, I could still recall those 5 GA questions which I messed up very badly. However I am delighted with my marks out of 250. Hope God gives me the same strength in RBI. I think SSC ki process SBI /IBPS se kaafi acchi hai (Keeping aside the Court cases etc ) ,Atleast they provide answer keys till tier 2 and you can challenge the answers as well. Also in descriptive I didn't see huge variation of marks (Average scores in 60's). So a fair process I would say.......Idhar toh no answer keys , no awareness of how marks are given in GDPI or descriptive .Pehli Baar bank ka exam diya tha and ab nahi dene wala kabhi. Tier 2 m phaad Dena hai .IP posts are much much better than a SBI PO . Congrats to all the selected PO's ,I know you would definitely be giving SSC in near future 😜

This group has become epitome of negativity.before results it was the same and now too it's same.
People are like ki the ones who got zero in DI and yet cleared, unko pehle se Pata tha ki sectional cutoff nhi hoga!! Zordaar logic.! Bhai agar unko Pata hota tou woh bhi dusre section me time devote Karte aur unke marks bhi current se jyada hote. Ya woh DI attempt hi nahi Karte.. Thing is it was same for everyone.
I personally feel that anyone including me who hasnt cleared overall cutoff has no right to talk shit of people who have, cutoff is still around 90 which is no way less and those clearing it have proven their worth.
But 'Naach na jaane aangan tedha' is country ke youth pe bahut sahi baithti Hai. They see wrong in everything but not in itself. Banega Mera Bharat Mahan.
Regarding GD PI, 100s of things matter in it, not just you answering the questions. Itna hi self analysis ka talent hota tou ab tak g**nd nhi ghis Rahe hote ham sab exams me. Also luck plays and will always play a part in it. Apna Hua hota tou kya luck ne role play nahi kiya hota!!! Anyways...

Phir bhi velle baithe ho to lagalo, at least sbi ke muh se zero cutoff sun Lena. SBI can mention any random sectional cutoff in reply, thing is still we won't have and cannot clear overall cutoff.
Anyways.. I know negativity is group se kabhi jaegi nahi so ham bhi nikal lete hain otherwise aane wale exams me g**nd Mar jaaegi. Every exam is going to throw surprises from here on and those who keeps complaining, unke liye meri dua.

I am fresher and I never went out of state. I have been living in my city only and did engineering from college which was just 100km away from my home, you can say I am homsick. Now I am directly posted in other state, i don't know much about the job, work timing etc. Anybody please tell how we will settle in other states.
The Epic BS being peddled by some candidates about no sectional cutoffs is truly mesmerizing.Still remember the discussion people were having after mains when they said have attempted 25/10/15/8 in DI "lekin sab tukke hai".File an RTI & ask SBI about the lowest mark secured by a candidate in each section not the cutoff but the lowest mark secured.Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be negative in DI.So SBI picked non -ve score as the cutoff.
Some are suggesting that people getting zero didn't attempt a single question "Because they knew Cut-Off was gonna be zero".When did I hear this argument the last time(Hint:Tina Dabi).Seriously?Are you even listening to yourself?Cutoff was decided after everyone's marks were calculated & eventually its SBI's discretion to decide the final cutoff as mentioned in the Advt.I would say they were lucky,coz they got enough ques right & just enuf ques wrong to negate the score to 0.A question here & there & they too would have ventured in the negative territory..Also remember all these ppl with -ve,0,+ve scores in DI have cleared Pre sectional cutoff,I dont think they are gonna forget basic math skills in a month's time.The 0 score in DI has got a lot to do with human psyche & panic during those 3 hours .
Some people like @adawg1 are making it a caste battle.Just one question sirjee,why is it that even the cutoff for general category has been at zero?Since according to you all fools belong to SC ST OBC category & all intelligent beings to GEN category shouldn't the general category cutoff be atleast 1 or may be 10 as a testimony to your intelligence in any/all of the sections & the same for SC ST OBC be at 0?I think that despite your selection you are hurt to be placed along with the folks from SC ST OBC as far as sectionals are concerned & this is something you dont want to see.I see it as a new tool to divide people.
Coming to interview.Interviews can be subjective.I had the most horrible interview at NHB in Feb this year where the panel mocked me & asked me to appear for GATE & go back for a job in IT/Telecom sector(Even the lady member didnt spare me).I dont remember saying that panel from Delhi is biased against people from MH or NHB process is rigged.Took it in my stride & have appeared for RBI GrB,SBI PO interview with NABARD GrA lined up for next month.You can always find excuses or you can find your weaknesses & work on it.The choice is yours & that is whats gonna define you.ve
WTF yaar. Sectionals kyu nahi diya yaar. This deserves an RTI complaint. Jab har saal aata hai tu iss baar kya hua BC? Even selected candidates would have wondered that!
Agar Quant me -ve h toh obvious he is not deserving. Agar pattern change ho gya toh uss hisaab se solve karo!

Hey, any idea what is the highest mark given for the Descriptive section and on what basis?
I got 35 and my content was just OK because I didn't find much scope in the questions to impress. Have always found English to be my strength in competitive exams but disappointed this time.

SBI PO interview panel marking scheme need some changes,Some panels gave 20 marks on an average to students while some other panel gave 12 marks on an average.My one friend got 30/30 in interview .My another friend of NIT & 98 percentile scorer of CAT got less than 16 marks out of 50 and his interview lasted for 15 minutes ,The only difference between both the cases is they both had interview in different LHO.There should be some standard parameters to assess and judge in PI for panelist,so that there can be uniformity.I got 17/20 in GDGE whereas only 15/30 in interview ,i scored 85% marks in GDGE and they just 50% marks in PI.
Some of my good friends lost battler due to stupidity and foolishness .

Guys, this is sad that sectional cut off is not taken into account and candidates are not given -ve marks and instead given 0 in place of -ve and still selected in SBI. With SBI PO having sored 0 in Quant DI section what are the future prospects of bank. This should be taken to the highest level.
This is manipulation of marks to adjust candidates somehow. They should have dropped overall cut off, but sectional cut off must have been there. Why they allocated timming for different sections, when they were not to consider sectional cut off. infact they mentioned in instrustions, that there will be sectional cut off.
Though i am selected, but i found this quite unfair
GD 13 PI 14 Total 27/50..Now i have losted it for a great margin, so no regrets..move on guys.Will be back after clearing any.
