After seeing cutoffs in lic aao, my 50% hope for sbi po has come down to 5%. Insane cutoffs. Yes, sbi paper was tough but what lic aao marks did reveal is the level of competition. Ab no more checking pg, just result pdf to take the blow once and for all.

Last year gdpi scores were very unpredictable....they failed many too...last year ki thread padh kr ab darr lg raha h...interview n gd Acha hua h fir bhi no guarantee of getting good marks...
Guys what s dis fuss abt cibil score in SBI recruitment.. Can they reject candidates on their bad cibil score.. I have missed few due dates of my loan n credit card payment..can it create problems
like in LiC aao result,Ibps po result. If someone just cleared the cut off and even if he get full marks in interview or gd whatever but still his name can not be listed on final merit, so my question is that kind of case with sbi po too ?

Since everybody is doing their analysis what the final cutoff could be. I am doing the same based on some numbers and some roundoff. Being a 2016 passout, This was my first attempt only. So not much experiance. Veterans are most welcome to add their insights. Okay so let me put it neat and clean!
i) Last year cutoff was 80 out of 200 and paper was a lot easier compared to this. But, still it would have slight impact on this cutoff because having scored 25-30 marks in gk. They would expect us to score 40 marks in 3 sections. I am talking about majority here. And the sectional cutoff is there so a lot less people called. So, it should be 75 or 70 but not less than that. But, yeah 80+ no way.
ii) now lets consider out of 250. suppose a guy scored 80 marks. and GDPI call was on 124 last year. So, no way he is gonna score 44 in descriptive. This here is the main advantage to this years' people. And I think most people called for interviews are in 80+ zone already. The overall cutoff would be somewhere around 108(+-3). not more than 115. Also I am highly anticipating that there would be better marks in descriptive for everyone probably 35+ for most selected people. To make up for the difficult paper. So that they can have the bare minimum candidates they need for next round.
iii) Now coming to the final cutoff. A score of 120 equals 36. Now a guy scores 40 in this by getting 133.33 which might seem like a big difference for 120 guy. But, if he gets 6 marks less than you in the rest 50(GDPI). Your scores are level. Because every two marks in 50 is one mark in final 100. But, if a guy scored more in mains and aced his GDPI too. He should be selected. So, even if you have one part of the exam where you killed. You sure have an advantage. Don't be discouraged! It's not over until I am done with it.
Final Verdict: 36+18=54. This should be the magical number. One two marks may be less due to 2.47 ratio. But, not below 52. I will be dammned if it does go below that.
