Indian government had sanctioned Rs 46 crore for the sports ministry’s Target Olympic Podium (TOP) scheme for 106 elite athletes, but only about Rs 6 crore had been spent till December 2015.
The athletes get ill fitted costumes, no proper running shoes, zero sports infrastructure, are flown economy class while the management flies business class.
And then we talk about medals. Oh if only embarrassing one's own nation was a sport, Vijay Goel would have brought home multiple medals.
The only thing that concerns me is what if the whole recruitment gets cancelled due to the court case? Is that possible? Anyone can throw some light on this?
