Green Bond : Ratta maar
Climate change affects all of us to some extent. But it affects developing countries hardest. Its potential effect on temperature, sea level and frequency of weather related disaster pose risk of agriculture, food and water supplies.
Few people have heard of green bonds but they remain concealed in mystery and there is a great deal of confusion about their exact form and structure. What are they? Are they way for government to raise capital for green projects? Or they are some types scheme to promote agriculture.
This lack of clarity is understandable and is as direct result of all the different types of bond proposed they are: Green gilt bond, Green retail bonds green investment bank bond and many more.
Bond is debt instrument with which an entity raises money from investors. The bond issuer gets capital while the investor receives money in the form of interest. When the bond matures the money is repaid. A Green bond is similar. The difference is that the issuer Green bond publicly states that the capital is being raised to fund green projects which typically includes those renewable energy, emissions reduction and many more related to environment protection.
In March EXIM bank issued $500 million worth green bond which subscribed 3.2 times. The firm said that it would use to fund eligible green projects in countries including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. A month back in February one of India's biggest private sector Bank issued 1000 Crore Green bond which oversubscribed twice.
India has Embarked on an ambitious target of building 175GW capacity of Green energy by 2022 from just over 30 GW now. This requires massive investment of almost $200 Billion. This not easy, as per experts suggest higher interest and unattractive terms under which debts available in India raise the cost of renewable energy by 24-32% as compared to US and Europe .

Election in the democratic India.
In India, the greatest gift that a citizen enjoys is 'Democracy'. Democracy signifies both liberty and responsibility. The supreme power rests with the common people, along with a responsibility to use this power with nationalism in their hearts. This nationalism and moral responsibility are tested in every 5 years, in the name of elections.
The election system in India reveals the true essence of democracy. Regulated by the Election Commission of India, elections are carried out in 543 constituencies. People get to choose the political party out of many, whom they want to lead the country and fulfil the needs of nation as a whole. The fact that India has been following this system since the last 70 years proves the practicality of it.
According to the tradition, political parties keep their agendas in front of the public. Each party tries to address a particular set of problems which it also promises to solute, if given power. They advertise themselves with the help of hoardings, pamphlets and media, and keep no stones unturned to temp the voters.
Citizens, having their own perceptions vote for a particular party, whoever they feel fulfil the needs. Sometimes the game changing factor that comes into play is personal interest. Parties sway away voters in the name of religion, caste, race, and even regions. Cherry on the cake is that a large chunk of population still remains illiterate and resource less. This triggers the unethical ways, often resulting into the winning of an undeserving party. People have to repent, at least till the next elections. And, in case of a good political party coming to power, it becomes a win-win situation for both the sides.
But, no matter what, there always remains a part of population which is never satisfied by ruling government. And, this is exactly why elections are conducted in a manner by which people get to rewrite their mistakes. Regimes keep coming and falling. But the spirit among people remains intact. Democracy, with all its loopholes, leads to the best way of elections.

The new interface is far less functional and too 'whitish'. Pagalguy admins should have given an option to opt-in to beta. In fact, they should have invited suggestions for the new interface. This change is too abrupt and forced.
