The introduction of Goods and Service Tax aims to establish a uniform system of indirect taxation in India. The present system of indirect taxes is fragmented with Inter-state taxes such as CST, Intra-state taxes and countervailing duty on imports in place. The GST will result in integration of indirect taxes all over India thereby improving economic efficiency and minimizing the fragmented Indian supply chain and value-addition chain.
There are various advantages linked to this. We may see reduction in prices as due to full and seamless credit, manufacturers do not have to include taxes as a part of their cost of production. Instead of maintaining big records, returns and reporting under various different statutes, all assesses will find comfortable under GST as the compliance cost will be reduced. The presence of dual controls viz. center and state will make the states equally empowered in the administration of GST.
The GST is a very good type of tax. However, for the successful implementation of the same, government must be cautious about a few aspects. It is really required that all the states implement the GST together and that too at the same rates. In that case taxes will not be a factor in investment location decisions, and people will be able to focus on profitability. For smooth functioning, it is important that the GST clearly sets out the taxable event. Presently, the CENVAT credit rules, the Point of Taxation Rules are amended for this purpose only. However, the rules should be more refined and free from ambiguity.
The GST is a destination based tax, not the origin one. In such circumstances, it should be clearly identifiable as to where the goods are going. This shall be difficult in case of services, because it is not easy to identify where a service is provided, thus this should be properly dealt with.
Thus, a flawless GST will put India's not only to promote national level economic integration but also on the cutting edge of the world market economies.

Subject: invalid withdrawal of money from ATM using debit card
My name is Ramesh Paramal, and I have a savings A/C with A/C no.9005678890321 in SBI bank branch, Indore, Galiwaalanagar. Since, I needed some money very urgently ,on the 10th July, 2016 at 8 pm I had gone to SBI branch, ATM in Hyderabad, Bappishatabdi to withdraw 5,000 Rs.
I had inserted my debit card registered with the same A/C no. into the ATM Machine in the usual manner in order to withdraw the money. While I was withdrawing the money from the ATM machine, suddenly, the power went off in the area and the ATM machine got switched off. After 5 minutes when the power came back, I checked the balance in my A/C. It showed a deduction of 5,000 Rs, but I never got the money from ATM.
I have filed a complaint and written a mail to the nearest SBI branch in the same city, but haven't got a reply yet from them and the amount has also not been refunded yet to my A/C. The transaction id no. is AT 655879065743 .I kindly request to look into the matter and refund the money to my account as soon as possible, since I am short of funds at the moment and need the money urgently.

I would like to bring to your attention that in the recent past the quality of water supplied by the Municipal Corporation has undergone a huge change. The timings have changed too. It has become very erratic. There is no fixed timing of water supply. People who need to go to work daily have had a horrible time as they had to wait for long hours for water as sometimes the water was supplied at 10;00 AM in the morning where the ideal time is 7;00 AM. Even the quality of water has changed. The water looks murky and tastes different as well.
I would request you to take stringent action against this as the health of the people in our locality is in great danger and at the same time I would request you to look into the timing of water supply.There should be a fixed time when water is supplied for everyone's convenience.
