Hello my friends, a couple of days ago we were all brimming with hopes of not only cracking the SBI PO Prelims but smashing the passing score such was our preparation. But surprisingly, as we all witnessed firsthand, it was not us but SBI that were smashing our dreams and aspirations with every single question that they put in the question paper. Well what's done cannot be undone and only the future will tell what will come of our hard work. But during those few days between today and the day when we know the facts, we all will search the Internet (and rightfully so) for expected cut-offs and student's attempts to atleast have a fair comprehension of what's coming. My friends, that will be sometimes disheartening as many "talented" individuals try to be a seer and predict that the cutoff will be a certain this or that number (e.g. around 50) and many average Joes like me, feeding other's hopes along with that of themselves, will give a seemingly modest figure or range (e.g. 40-45, 47 se upar na jayega).
Well my friends, I've got news for you - YOU HAVE BRAINS and MANY OF YOU GAVE THIS EXAM LAST YEAR and yet you fell short of your ambitions. (Forgive me for the capitals but yes I was shouting that). Imagine what would have happened to those who didn't know anything about what's coming in the paper (everyone I met yesterday at the exam centre had no idea what was waiting for them - beloved puzzles). What I want to say is, no one can anticipate the cutoff correctly and nobody's attempts will determine whether they are in or out (this is for all those who have given up hope). You know how the paper was last year, you know how the paper was this year, you can guess what will happen to the cutoff if you think correctly. But to all my nervous friends, know this, the cutoff will plummet, by what margin I don't know but it will that I promise.
I attempted 54, I know one of them is definitely wrong, but I don't how much I will score. But I have the belief that my hard work will pay and so will many of yours. I am starting my preparation for mains and you should too - irrespective of what number of attempts you made.
