i think basic subjects like Heat Transgfer Op, Mass Transfer Op, fluid flow op, Chem reactn engg, process control, thermodynmics n i lil bit of organic chemistry shud b mor than enuf

..nd in othr branchs also d final list of selectd candidates containd atleast 80% south indians.list is still on der site.u can urself check... 
besides dis mind boggling favoring strategy..i m sure u must have surely heard abt d frequnt accidnts taking place der

ooh you asked 'calendar day'... the usual expression is a ' calendar year '. sorry for that though... to answer your question.. yes the whole GD-PI is summed up in a day in two session... there will be about an hour break for lunch.
