RVPN(EE) Aen had 32 UR seats.The cutoff was 57.38,last ranked UR student got 60.25. So all those students having +3 marks advantage over cutoff are in the contention. Plus many students won't come for the verification as they have already joined somewhere else like as Aen itself.
For all those candidates confused abt preferring Jen ovr other jobs,Posting location and promotion aspects are not very bright in RVUNL. Do consider this be4 taking any decision.
I know these details bcz my friend works as a RVPN Aen.

Rvunl k liye - Salary will be around 11200 for two years ..as 12% pf katega.. Baaki probation k baad in hand 26000 mil rahi h in 6th PC ..and rvunl me plant me quarters milte h ..but locations bekaar h..city postings sirf tagde political approach walo yani ministers k bndo ko milti h. But vo bhi tike rhna mushqil h us jagah for a long period...remote locations from city...almost no city posting in lifetime... Slowest promotions ...yes but workload is moderate... Jyada ghisayi ni h......shifts bhi available h....lifestyle maintain krna is quite tough ...this is what I got to know from my friend who is a jen in rvunl from ee branch.

esa hai, jesi bhi job hai badhiya hai... 5 saal job karo, power plant ka work experience mil jaye to sabse acha hai... fir switch marlo in public sector or private... acha khasa package mil jaega... so dont criticize it... grab the oppurtunity
