Guys let me clear your doubts regarding post preferences. This is pure common sense. Suppose you appear for aptitude test for ASM as per your merit, but get failed or let's say you don't appear for it, in such a case you will still be considered for BALANCED posts. Here the word BALANCED is important, which means, you will be considered for your next choice if and only if, you are in merit AND there is any more seat LEFT VACANT. Because obviously , for that post too, other successful candidates already have been chosen. So suppose if your next choice after ASM is GG and if any shortlisted candidate for GG do not appear for Doc Verification EVEN from the wait list (30% extra which RRB will call for every post except CA/TA), then you will get that post if you are in merit for the post of GG. So clearly see yourself, you have to be lucky enough to get your next choice, because chances of having a seat vacant even from.wait list are very less. So those candidates who are high scorers and mistakingly filled ASM as their 1st choice and are thinking of skipping the psycho test in order to get their next post, be wise enough to take such decision. I was observing certain rules of allotment of seats and also confirmed from some candidates of CEN 03/2012. And one more thing, if your name is shortlisted for a post were only doc verification is required followed by medical, then you will be eligible only for that post, in such a case you will be allotted that post and must have to pass the required medical criteria for it, which will be done after the post allotment. If you get fail in that medical, you will be given a second and final chance ( after 40 days) if and only if there is a curable disease ( not in case of lasik, prk, laser, spectacles, cancer or any incurable disease). And if you fail in that second chance too, you will be out of race. So friends, I hope I have cleared all your doubts. Just wanted to share what I concluded. Thanks ☺
