Cbt 2 100 marks.. Cbt 1 cleared all jobs in unreserved category.. Electrical OBC.. 30th 2nd shift.. Secunderbad zone.. Any chances?
Bhopal zone wale bhaiyo: According to the survey of everyday new no of candidates participated: 273 Electronics: Candidates:63 Average marks: 75.61 Mechanical: Candidates:108 Average marks:83.91 Electrical: Candidates:59 Average marks: 82.81 Civil: Candidates:43 Average marks: 70.74
As per the calculation done by Mr @sreevechu regarding the merit index there is something wrong in the formula by RRB.
There are two stages of normalisation: (Taking case of Mech)
1) Intra-Branch or discipline:- Marks obtained by all the Mech guys given exams is various shifts will be normalised. Shift wise Mean Marks are standard deviation taken .No Issue Here.
2)Inter-Branch or Discipline :- Here Normalised marks of each students of different branches will be calculated for merit index. Only 0.1% topper avg marks considered. Here other parameter are constants no branch wise mean or standard deviation taken. Problem lies here.
Har branch me top 1% hote hi hain jo 115+ laate hain. But Branch wise difficulties level of courses are not considered. How can 80 marks of a Mech guy will be equal to 80 marks of EE , ETC ot IT.
Example:- Mere Zone me "EveryDay New" ke survey ke according out of participated 205 guys 36 scored above 95+ marks (Breakup 27 - EE , 6- Mech and 3 - Electronics).
If the RRB given formula is used Mech and Electronics guys will suffer. This does not justify the Branch wise course level difficulty.
Railways should consider Branch wise Mean marks and standard deviations.
