No one can predict exact cutoff because of 3 main reasons
1. NORMALISATION ,railways increases marks abruptly and also decreases of easier shifts ,it has happened with my friends in cbt1 so I can tell for sure ,the marks you are taking as raw arent your real marks ,normalisation will change the game.
2. Common merit index between different branches ,suppose I am competing with a ece person scoring 100 marks and I am scoring 92 in mech paper then a common merit index will be prepared where I will be placed along with him in a common merit and its not necessary he will be above me since formula doesnt consider shift marks ,it considers other parameters. So here also predictability is low because in every zone number of candidates with different branches vary and how many of them have qualified for a post matters.
3. THE ULTIMATE QUESTION "Are we fighting for all seats or for ones we have qualified in cbt1 "Now this is the most chaos and confused answer. If its yes then the game will change drastically . It will be impossible to predict cutoff then.
Since in that case the cbt1 toppers will get a higher chance of getting their choices if they have scored decent 90s.
The game is very confusing that is why youtube cutoff predictors will never in their life be able to guess the exact cutoff. All we can do is file objections to get some marks. DO IT WITH AUTHENTIC BOOK SOURCES LIKE NCERTS .
