Some facts about merit index... 1 Same like gate score 2 it is interdisciplinary comparison on same scale 3 in formula one part is constant and another is variable with actual/normalised marks (numerator) so (if your marks is low )and average marks of .1% toppers of respective branch...I think toppers marks will no vary much(like if for mech is 100,for electrical 99,electronic 99...So on) Moral:::rrb formula is a very smart approach for selection of a single post of different eligibility...Do not happy with this statement .....Mera paper tough aaya tha...
