ME AND YOU, JUST US TWO
Some months back the idea of considering someone else as an extension of one's own existence trading off some months' familiarity that too sans the physical presence seemed extremely bizarre and absurd...utterly preposterous ...one could remark!! I for that matter related it with one of the various maladies concerning the brain 😁
Contrary to that it took us a few fleeting moments and some of the most beautiful and everlasting impressions were made on my memory. Neither of us stopped and thought to gauge this escalating feeling of mutual fondness for pros and cons. Delightful conversations and meetings became the medium for two strangers to sense that there was something more to it than just friendship. If there is any kind of magic in this world, it must be in the attempt of understanding someone effortlessly and wanting to share with them even the smallest of the things without years of familiarity. Even the rut like mediocrity of life turns out to be worth sharing when there is another person who values it.
I was not yearning for companionship but as they say "love catches you unawares". You, @rishi.2k14 are the blessing I never asked for. It was as if I woke up one morning and found what was missing. You have made me realize that I could fall in love with someone irretrievably and unconditionally, that selfless love does exist, that I am brave enough to sustain a collapse and love again with all my heart. I feel grateful, for every moment spent with you makes me fall for you over and over and strengthens my wish to be worthy of the trust you put in me.
Here I would take out few seconds and give myself some credit to have earned the privilege to laugh with you, talk to you, care for you, dream with you, and live that dream with you. The dream of standing by your side through everything and walking all my walks with you which became a reality on 25/6/2015 when you, my friend, accomplice in mischief, my lover, my true counterpart became my significant other.
Every time I talk to you, I want to express the longing that we read in romantic novels. I can't stand next to you without holding you. I can't help but tell what you mean to me while looking into your eyes. I love you and will continue to do so forever as your wifriend :D
