In past few days the environment has not been pleasant on Rise To Smile(RTS) .Some people here(including me) have been involved in fights on some issues. However this thread was not meant for it. Few days ago I had put a post which I removed due to some objections . I have edited that part and am putting it again .Hope it gives us enough reason not to continue our useless brawls.
A Tribute to Rise To Smile ..... -:)
I have been active on Rise To Smile(RTS) for about 40 days . When I joined it there were about 1K members , suddenly the member count has shot through the stratosphere. Looking at this figure I wondered when it was started and that made me dig deep into previous pages of RTS.
All members of RTS must get it by heart as a history lesson that it was started on 27th June , 2013 by @nikskrish alongwith his 12-13 friends who were @ibpsre @emily6 @explore9 @Sidharth_150 @revn @richaaa.. @blacksands @bs57.72 @dhanik @ratnasen @brixcel @AshuIIMA @ojaswinii @biswas.maxpayne
Unlike now our beloved admin @nikskrish was superactive at that time and you all will be surprised to see his earliest posts..Few of them are :
1)http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/rise-to-smile-25102005/16834398--28th june 2013....female version of emptiness
2)http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/rise-to-smile-25102005/16835678 --- Full Song -- Baahon k Darmiyaan posted by @nikskrish when he was still young
The other noticeable thing was that the tradition of ROTLU POSTS is old ...very old.It has been there since this thread was created. It is a sample...

Further scanning through the old posts I found Mr.Foo Foo (@rasrjha )seeking votes for his favourite candidate. Behold this post :--

--> Next time if you get a bit greedy for
that extra karma point , then no need to feel ashamed. The craze of karma
points was entrenched in our forefathers too. See it as a sample.

I have not been on this thread for long , but scanning through the old comments was nostalgia all along.I felt how quick and rushing life can sometimes seem, when at the same time it's so slow and sweet and everlasting.I saw the ecstasy in the way new members put their first post , at the same time there was melancholy in few posts by long term members when they parted their ways with this thread.
There were posts when someone achieved something big and felt like sharing it.There are a few moments in your life when you are truly and completely happy, and you remember to give thanks. Even as it happens you are nostalgic for the moment, you are tucking it away in your scrapbook. Such scrapbook moments were a treat to read.I guess this post of mine is too a part of that scrapbook moment.
Everyone has two memories. The one you can tell and the one that is stuck to the underside of that, the dark, tarry smear of what happened. This type of posts have popped up time and again. After reading them I felt that it is strange how we hold on to the pieces of the past while we wait for our futures.Sometimes loneliness makes the loudest noise.People putting such posts were ready to trade all their tomorrows for one single yesterday.#TypicalRotlus
Another enlightening post was "The past is for learning from and letting go. You can't revisit it. It vanishes. There are many forms of love as there is moments in time, and you are capable of feeling them all at different stages of your life".
People here found jobs , some found their love and a few suffered from heartbreaks too. Some have left , many are still with us. For those who left , no more have an account here but you can see their footprints in the previous posts. They're scattered all through the thread.
For those of us who are so used to this thread , the mere thought of its absence is unfathomable . It has become as routine for us as eating and drinking .I wish that when I'm 80 years old and sitting in my rocking chair, I'll be reading Harry Potter and a tab opened in my browser's window be Rise To Smile..... -:). and my family will say to me, 'After all this time?' And I will say, 'Always."
A million thanks to @nikskrish for creating something so wonderful .I wish this thread lives forever .. 😃
PS:- We are on this thread today , but we won't be here forever . Lets not spoil these times by fights.
