'A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only once.' - George R.R. Martin
part 3, continued after Mr S passed out after drinking alcohol and petrol....
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.
-
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
-
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.
-
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.
-
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.
-
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.
-
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?
-
Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
-
I rise
I rise
I rise.

our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. it's our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. we ask ourselves who am i to be gorgeous, talented and fabulous? actually, who are you not to be?? you are a child of god. your playing small does not serve the world. there is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. we are all meant to shine, as children do. we were born to make manifest the glory of god that is within us. it's not just in some of us; it's in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. as we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberate others. No matter how long the journey is, it always starts with a single step.
Make sure that first step is in right direction..
Hello Guys,
I did my BSc (PCM) and MA (Economics) in 2007 and 2009 with 38% and 50% marks respectively.
I have been working since 2004 (I did my 12th from CBSE in 2004 with 72% marks and 10th from ICSE in 2002 with 84% marks) as Office Manager/MIS Analyst managing office operations and reporting requirements in Engineering Consulting Sector.
Now I wish to pursue MBA Finance (second preference Business Analytics) and because of low marks I have enrolled in a distance BA from Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan University and my graduation will be completed in June 2015 and is expecting around 65% marks.
I am looking to enroll for MBA in 2017 and preparing for CAT 2016.
I belong to OBC category and I am targeting new IIMs, can you please tell with my profile will it be achievable to get admission provided I get a percentile of around 95 and average interview.
Also, I wish to utilise the time I have in hand to get certifications in Finance (or Business Analytics) which will further enhance my candidacy as far admission is concerned. I wish to join Consulting Sector post my MBA as Financial Analyst.
Thanks and Regards

The German philosopher, Schopenhauer, was strolling along a street in Dresden, seeking the answers to questions that bothered him.
Passing by a garden, he decided to sit and look at the flowers. One of the residents of the neighborhood observed the philosopher's strange behavior and summoned the police. Minutes later, an officer approached Schopenhauer.
"Who are you," the officer asked brusquely.
Schopenhauer looked the policeman up and down.
"If you can help me find the answer to that question," he said, "I will be eternally grateful to you."
it does not matter whether you win or lose but what matters most is you fought. there are many such examples of people who lost but they are still remembered in history. Rani lakshami bai, Chander shehkhar azad, Rana Partap, Bhagat singh, che guvera, Guru Gobind Singh. these people are remembered not because they win but they fought till the end. So, the end result does not matter if you give your best to the task in hand. At, the end of the day you will be very satisfied because you tried your level best. as Lord krishna has said, 'you have the right to work, but never to the fruit of work'. so, don't be upset with failures but never give up without a tough fight. As said by winston churchill, ''success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts."
Just heard it somewhere.. A boy with 6 girls--- stud, a girl with 6 boys--- slut.
We need to change our perception to protect them.

Tum hans padoge, toh main hans padoongi,
Tum ro padoge, toh main ro padoongi,
Lekin meri baat ek yaad rakhna,
Mujhko hamesha ji haan sath rakhna,
-
Judti jahan yeh zameen aasmaan se,
Hadh haan hamari suru ho wahan se,
Taaron ko choo le zara sa sambhal ke,
Us chand par jhatt se jaayein phisal ke,
-
Beh jaayein dono hawa se nikal ke,
Sooraj bhi dekhe hamein aur jal ke,
Hoga nahin hum pe maloom sa bhi,
Teeno jahan ka asar.. Teeno jahan ka asar.. 😃
"Falling in love is very real, but I used to shake my head when people talked about soul mates, poor deluded individuals grasping at some supernatural ideal not intended for mortals but sounded pretty in a poetry book. Then, we met, and everything changed, the cynic has become the converted, the sceptic, an ardent zealot."
