With the interim budget just coming in few hours, lets have some predictions about the market. If you take my view, market is not expecting much from this "Vote on Account", and has already discounted this interim budget. Market has been volatile from last 3-4 weeks and we saw it going forward by one steps but again coming back by two steps. Its been said that market fell largely due to the huge FII selling, but it if you observe the market minutely, you will find that, it fell due to lack of buyers and also since the market of whole world wee correcting so is our Indian market.
People have decided to play safe and kept hold on themselves, they just want to wait and observe. There has been a huge political turnmoil in our country, and people are confused. Particularly with the emergence of AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) as a big political force and their leftist policy have added a fuel and common investors are bound to play safe. Also people are aware that there are not going to be any big policy change to be announced in this interim budget, rather Finance Minster's focus will be mostly on limiting the fiscal deficit as outlined in the last budget, and subsidy flows in terms of next year and the planning done for the same. To contain the fiscal deficit at the desired level, it is expected that government is going to announce a reduction in developmental as well as non-developmental budget.
Although this interim budget is very important at this moment when the economy is bouncing back, and although whats happens in the next year would be the responsibility of the next government, but some direction is needed from this government as well. We must not forget that recovery is slow this time, its not V-shaped so don't expect the revenues coming up very strongly.
Market is going to open in just 5 and 1/2 hour at 9.15 AM, and my take is that we won't be seeing any significant move- it may be tinkering between slight up and slight down.
