People here write about loneliness, love, hope, despair, nostalgia, and all other aspects of life. I used to write about that too.
But then...
I got diagnosed with Leukemia, and after that, I realized that, believe me, nothing you can experience is as fearsome as fear of imminent death.
Even the worst hardships are nothing compared to living in fear that you may die any moment.
But still, there was something, about this world, this life, that made me hope I will make it through anyhow.
Life has this unique charm, that makes us hold on to it.
So Puys, just rise and smile.

Glued onto the television,watching matches of our favourite teams and ranting about after every mishit or misfield specially by an Indian player are common phenomena in my family during the IPL season.This year being no exception.
I was engrossed in the CSK vs RR match,Dhoni was on strike and he mishit.I expected the usual course of action which was my dadi (adjusting her glasses on the bridge of her nose) saying "Dhoni ab pehle jaisa nahi raha" and then my defence speech to follow. But I heard nothing. I turned my head, my eyes fell on the empty couch.I could literally feel my heart sinking with the sudden realization that I am never going to see her ,hear her voice or fight with her again.
Make sure to spend sometime with your grandma,the ones who care for you or call them if you stay away from them.Listen closely to the stories even if you've heard them a thousand times,their voice,their laugh.Catalog how their thoughts shift from one sentence to another,their little pauses inbetween and never hang up too soon, for the cruelest thing in this world is the surprise of the swift knock of death on the door. How quickly the loved ones that once dotted your life and your telephone line can become guilt ridden memories of the phone calls you wish you had made,the things you wish you could have said.
