SHADES
I want to paint.
Not using a brush, a cotton swab or color pencils
But with my fingers.
I want to paint
Not on the wall next to my bed, on a canvas or on a tile
But on you.
I want to paint you that shade
The shade of grey and green, you and I were wearing the first time we saw each other
The brown your eyes were the first time we talked
The blue the sky was when we watched the sunrise together for the first time The yellow those post-its were, on which we wrote notes to each other
The pink the ice-cream was that we shared that one time
The orange the sky was when we watched the sunset together the last time
The red that you said my face turned to when I got mad
The black your eyes turned to when we had our last fight
I want to paint you
In all those shade of colors I don’t have a name for
I want to
Because why should I carry all those shades alone ?
