While watching House of Cards, I always wondered how stupid things with the help of media can make a person lose votes and eventually his/her seat. Elphinstone stampede is a very good example of the same situation. Every media house and political party is busy with the blame game. And here I am, trying to understand how can any govt or even railway be held responsible for the stampede? It was a "rumour" that awakened the cruel, mean and brutal side of so many who later in an attempt to rush out, ran over 23 to death. It was normal people like you and me who so ruthlessly injured 32 and if the latest news to be believed, molestated women who were crying for help. The bloody foot over bridge is still standing and nobody knows if it will really fall down. If we really want to blame someone out of habit, we should blame ourselves. The common men lost their civic sense during that mishap and are responsible for all the deaths and injuries. It's sad to see people blaming Indian railways, INC and BJP shamelessly. #copied
