A good memory is a curse.
A couple of days ago, found to my surprise that Stephen King's 'Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption' was inspired by this Tolstoy short story.
I picked up my wine glass, along with her memories. And a beautiful opera was playing by, and the lights were dim. It was the night of 30th march,
and things were cheerful and different 20 years back. Wishing someone at 12 am sharp is an achievement in itself. I used to.. every year. No matter where I was, what situation I was in, this was my day of diving into the past and get united with the only one I loved.
"You are such a clown" she used to say in fun. I miss those words now. Look, I am here, in the attire of a clown, for you.. look at me, laugh once again. I assure you I would smile.
Just once.. look into my eyes... and take me back to the time I first saw you. It was just another day, I was cluelessly sipping my tea in college canteen, and you passed by.
