It's 3:45 in the morning, and I am making tea.. 2 cups. You always liked the idea of me making something for you.. Instead of my disclaimer that my self made tea tastes like hot boiled water, you said you would love to have it.
I still wake up abruptly at 3am, sometimes at 4.
Maybe because somewhere I hope you too are awake. I check my phone for your message, but it's just an empty box now..
At times, I think I heard your voice, but it's just silence whispering to my ears.
Maybe you have moved on with your life.. and I guess you should..I had nothing to offer you but myself.
Sometimes on such cold nights.. I sit up on bed and think how, once upon a time..nights became dawn and dawn, morning in your presence..
Ah.. those wonderful days of perfect harmony. Your morning face, those dull yet sparkling eyes inviting and resisting me at the same time.
Those fragile and reluctant lips still making a part of me fall for you everytime..
