Complied by a friend in Cisco and successfully tried and tested by lots of friends in lots of areas in Bengaluru.
these are the steps for Airtel, you can follow it depending on the service provider you have.
Step 1. Log a complaint with their call center preferably via email ([email protected]) and get a complaint number for tracking.
Step 2. If they don't resolve it ,escalate it to nodal officer ([email protected]) again keep the emails for record.
Step 3. Escalate to appellate if the issue is not solved at nodal officer level . ([email protected]) again keep the emails for record.
Step4 . If the issue is not resolved by appellate officer log a complaint on this sitehttp://pgportal.gov.in/ under Department of Telecommunications. Attach all the emails in pdf format along with the complaint.
you can also CC in email to the appellate officer when you email the customer care of the respective network provider.
He got this issue resolved in two days and also got calls and emails from airtel requesting not to involve Government and they will do their best to resolve the issue.
I complained yesterday night at around 11ish, got a technician in evening , who came with gizmos and took umpteen readings in living room, kitchen and bedroom. I guess , if I would have asked, he would have gone to the washroom too to take readings.😉
he acknowledged that the area has 2g/3g issues and filed his report.
it took less than 24 hours for them to send a technician and tomorrow the tower guys will visit too.
I went from step 1 to 4 in around an hour.
hopefully it will help you guys if you face all these problems.
