Would narrate an incident from today...
I was on my training. Yesterday was the last day of the same and i was to board the train to my hometown. Boarded at night. I had one handbag and one airbag with me. Train was to reach in early morning. I was in upper seat so i got down and settled myself in the lower seat and left my bag in upper seat with a thought that before deboarding i would take it.. but as they say.. "out of sight is out of mind".. i saw platform and took my airbag and went towards the gate to deboard. Deboarded too and reached home without realising that i left my handbag in the same upper seat of the coach. Panic struck me wen i realised that i dnt have my wallet with me.. then a sec later i realised that i dont have my bag either.. i was at home and train would have perhaps travelled down the lane to its destination.. shit!!! That was my reaction... not because i lost my wallet with al the cash and debit cards and original ids in it but coz that handbag was special for me.. it was the frst gift from my salary to me.. i had sentimental values attached to it.. all of a sudden there was bombardment from everybody about how careless i am nd how irresposible too.. but thankfully my brains were still wrking(though the bombardment was in full mode) and suddenly it struck me to tweet to railway ministry abt the same.. immediately i made a twitter accnt and tweeted my condition to railway ministry and to my surprise in less than 30secs i got a reply from them asking my pnr num and contact num.. i replied with the same and in No time i got a call from ministry of railways to inquire abt my full problem. I was still awestruck on whats happening.. they assured me of help and told me to get someone to the destination station of the respective train.. hopefully i had relatives in that city.. i immediately cntcted them and told them to reach the station.. after about an hour wen train reached the station, the crpf who was on duty there had my bag with him with all things intact and handed over the bag to my relative.. when i got to know that i had found my bag i just didnt know how to react.. it was somethng least i expected coz we live in a country where even if u drop a hankerchief it wont be found again.. 😉 such a prompt reply and action was taken on my complain that i just cudnt resist sayng "achhe din to aa hi gae".. 😊 i shared this incident here just to let u all know that social media does do wonders sometimes.. atleast if u have any prob or complain regarding railways.. go ahead and tweet.. it will work.. 😃
