two cents for android users
Have been testing for some weeks.
this is what I found.
1) Do not install any battery saver app. They close the apps when they are optimizing the battery and frequent opening closing of the app drains your cell's battery. Install "greenify", just choose apps which you want to close .
2) do not install any app lock app, read comment 5
2) close whatsapp, it takes most of your battery and time. Open it once or twice a day, reply to messages. Better, if you really cant live without it, use web.whatsapp.com
3) amazon is one of the notorious apps, that keeps itself restarting even after you force stop it. uninstall it , if you have it.
4) do not sync your accounts (play store) on any other device. If you are privacy freak.
5) make two accounts on your phone , android has a guest account option. Give guest account access to people who take your phone just for browsing and then try to see everything in it. Also saves you from installing any app lock app, which consumes battery again.
6) the phone is for your convenience, so use it that way only.
7) if phone is out of warranty, root it and install custom roms. I have been able to overclock CPUs of most android phone. LIke 256 Mhz se 1.2 Ghz tak.
