This is inequality and injustice to many aspirants, that an organisation which is main functionary of the economic development seeks unemployment....We cant get through campus recruitments  as we are held up saying our matriculation is not upto the mark(say 60%) when we seek for our opportunities in the public sector, they come up as a competition to the corporates seeking for 60% in the matriculation and 12th....I got 90% in my intermediate, a first class with distinction in my graduation and also 2 years of service in a reputed PSB but 10th 58.5% and i dont know how am i inferior to any person who got above 60% right through their academics.....now i've left my job for a better prospects in RBI as grade B or UPSC....now RBI has made me unemployed with their latest advertisement....It will be better if we look for opportunities abroad with a better pay. But that doesn't interest me, as  i would like to work here for I belong to this nation. Hope there will be a change regarding Eligibility criteria by the time notification is released. I will try to do my part by putting up a requesting letter to the authorities for a change in Eligibility criteria. How to go about in this regard kindly help

New pattern of RBI : DC1:

1. Phase 1 is same . No change. One can expect the same kind of paper as last two years.

2. Phase 2 : questions will be like

Ex .1 Lower-level managers typically confront what type of decision making?

Ä. Unique, B. Non-routine C.  Programmed D. Non-programmed

OR  Ex .2 .of the following are the part of organization's internal environment EXCEPT: A. Employees B . Owner C.  Culture D. Regulators

3. In paper 3, Finance is management is earlier paper of Gr B Gen with almost no change in syllabus. Only thing is that now it is objective. Economics will replace earlier paper 2 of DEPR exam , and Statistics will replace earlier paper 2 of DSIM exam.

The trick however is that now one 'have to prep for Phase 2 from now onward itself as gap between two exam will be very less (something i have posted again n again in forum). I will post some more sample questions in coming days.

Now study also has to be oriented for Objective/short answer/fill in the gaps kind mindset rather than earlier essay type mindset. This may be difficulty for Indian students as we are not accustomed to it . I am writing an article for that also as how to study for new pattern, will post  it by weekend.

The eligibility criteria didnt have anything about CA, CS and CWAs. Can we expect them in the actual notification?

I'm from pune university. if i total all the three years marks then i have a first class graduation degree but pune university calculates the same using the specialization i took, in which i'm having a higher second class. and coz of that on my degree too, they have written higher second class. ibps and other banks say for calculating the class one has to consider marks of all the semesters. I'm stuck between my university and bank rules. Can anyone help me in this regard?

What is the average work experience of people who join RBI?

Dear Puys,

I am writing this because I am disappointed and I cannot take it any more by the fact that people are creating new posts asking same basic questions or doubts quite often and they are not even bothered to check previous post or search on the web. It does not serve any purpose if you keep on posting, pattern has been changed or copy- paste the whole god damn content of the recent notification. People are even asking how he should buy all the books or which option should they choose ? I asked myself are they serious ? I completely understand if one is new to this exam and looks for relevant information, however don't you think they should first check previous comments or search on the web ? And if you don't find anything relevant then create a new post. Now let me talk about things which one should consider while selecting optional subject :                                                                                                                          Pick the subject which you like among those 3 and if you happen to dislike all 3 then check detailed syllabus, previous year question papers and decide for yourself. RBI has given you detailed syllabus and reference book as well. what more does anyone want ? I really hate to say this but if you cannot decide which optional is best suitable option for you  then how will you take decisions in corporate life ?

You know this group will be really helpful for next year candidates. However if this practise continues then candidates will have to wade through shit to get the information which no body really likes to do.

I know all Puys are highly educated are most of us have prior working experience. So I am requesting all of you to keep this group free from useless posts.

Edit: You might think and I am rude but I'm just being honest here and this post may sound like a lecture which I hate giving. Please ignore grammatical errors if any. :-)

SIDBI conducts their specialist exam the same way as RBI has proposed. So If anyone who has given SIDBI Economist paper online please tell us what level of questions one can expect ? A detailed experience would be nice. 😃

I am a CA But my graduation percent is 52 .. will I b not eligible for grade b?

Anyone planning to join any coaching??? postal or regular?

The optional Paper- Paper-III will have options of subjects, viz., 'Finance & Management' or 'Economics' or 'Statistics'. In Phase-II the paper on 'English' will be descriptive type and computer based, i.e. to be typed on computer screen with the help of the keyboard.
