Is it possible for a fresh undergraduate student to crack RBI grade B ?
Over weekend I had an elaborate discussion with certain friends in RBI HR department. Here is a gist of what I learnt about RBI Gr B exam 2015 from HR people at RBI:
Based on some internal committee on Organizational restructuring at RBI, there will be combined selection procedure for Specialist cadres' viz. DSIM and DEPR as well as RBI Gr B Gen posts. Earlier there used to be multiple notifications and tests.
There were four models under discussion. Under every model Phase-1 is common for all candidates.
1. No change for Gr B DR Gen, and one extra paper on Econometrics/Statistics for DEPR/DSIM candidates in place of E&SI paper.
2. Common Phase- 2 papers for all. One for Economics/SI with Statistics/Econometrics section so the candidate can choose which question/section to attend. One paper (common for all) for Finance & Management. And third paper for English.
3. Only two papers. One for Ecnmtrcs/Stats/Econ/SI (with options) and other for Finance /Management/Essay.
One thought of making both phases online was also under consideration but many in top brass in RBI wanted descriptive paper in Phase-2
It is noteworthy that any addition/drastic change in syllabus has been ruled out. It is learnt that models have been evaluated and have been send to topmost officials for final selection and approval. Apparently mandate is to complete the entre process within six months or less from the date of notification.

Puys, is it worth appearing in RBI assistant with full preparation, in order to ensure readiness for Phase I of Grade B ? and once notification is out for grade B, one could stick with Phase -II preparation only...??

Hi, I noticed something very absurd in IBPS forms. Please suggest me what to do.
So while applying for RBI Assitant or UIIC Assistant post, there is no provision of a person applying for one state and appearing the exam in another state.
Suppose I want to apply for the office of Himachal Pradesh (my home state) but want to give Kerala (where I am studying) as my test centre - I CAN'T! :(
Please tell me what to do. Has anyone had any experience regarding this? Please reply.

Is the notification for RBI out?
Is there the possibility of something like a Pinned Post or a highlighted post where we can put up all details about the RBI Grade B exam,format,eligibility and list-set of all required books for all the chapters so that everyone can see it. Because every single day a new person comes and asks the same old question- "How to prepare for the exam", "which books to refer", we are not having any fruitful or productive discussions on the Finance Paper,Management Paper and Economics Paper, all the time we are just replying to these same old questions. Hope the admins note this !
