RBI exam is a journey, not a destination. That's why there is no one stop solution to it - no one book, no one coaching institute, no one material. We live in a dynamic world and things keep changing. That is why veterans/ 2nd or 3rd time exam takers have an advantage. They may have read economic surveys of last 3 yrs and would know the Fiscal/Monetary/Forex/Industry/Development data and trends of last 2-3 surveys and about 7-8 years. They would know the difference in New GDP method through the surveys and newspapers, and other panel discussions. They may even have old NCERT book, Eco books, which may not recognize Repos as the quantitative tool for monetary policy, but know clearly that RBI has it as its main tool to drive MP. They would know what are relevant dynamic issues which are hot and relevant for the exam. They can to some extant even guess what RBI has up its sleeves in terms of designing objective questions and hence can think much ahead of the coaching institutes, books, materials,etc. Hence, embrace the journey as a Individual rather than as a follower. But have others' guidance as well in the process. Pguy and other forums do that quite effectively. Be ready to learn from everything around you and intelligent enough to know what will help you and what won't. But that conscience will come through time.

If any of u are thinking about starting a separate thread for rbi 2016 prep,I think that u should wait for sometime before doing so.As of now this thread has enough quality material and discussions to guide u through the preps.And within two months from now we will hopefully have atleast 100 RBI officers from the members of this thread 😃 that would give next year aspirants like us huge expertise and guidance for 2016. RBI will not change the pattern most probably for 2016.so it would be unwise to diverge away from this group.this is just my view,u need not subscribe to it . And moreover ,I think we should wait for the green signal of some RBI insider that vacancies are sure to come next year.otherwise opening a new thread is completely pointless.RBI did give a miss on some years in the past.in the meantime,u can start civils 2016 prep( those who are planning for it),believe me it will make RBI a cakewalk for u :-)

Questions in the handout in ESI are related to agriculture and food security which ain't mentioned in syllabus(though not hard)......do we have to prepare agriculture sector and other sectors specifically too !! LITTLE WORRIED
