None of selected is interested to answer us. We beginners are seeking guidance on what to read in General studies and English for phase 1 exam. But seems no one can spend a few minutes on these questions. I request to all of you, please help us on this. Please specify what to read and from where?

for aptitude part: there are numerous options like if you can study through e-books then perhaps 3 bookks by r s agarwal are easily available for quant. reasoning etc. but if you want to buy. then have any one of the books available like the one by arun sharma, r s agarwal etc. but point is stick to one and practise alot.
for GS: i would certainly advice gor for broad framework i.e. think even about 2nd phase while reading the first one. so do read ncerts. apaert from that one good newspaper daily either express or hindu. give special emphasis to economy. at the same time use 1-2 magazines like pd, chronicle etc and give due emphasis on current affairs of past 6 months before exam.
by seeing previous years papers i believe these should suffice. i would also suggest keep looking at previous yrs papers as you would have feel of pattern and type of question

Aptitude- for all sections except GS, if you can read from e-books then i suggest go for R s agarwal collection of 3 books availabl free on net. but if u cant then by one book each for each topic by any of god writers like arun sharma, r s agarwal etc.
GS- for it i would suggest have a broad outlook with keeping an eye on phase-2 also. read basic ncerts for economics. dont read much of mathematical part just concepts. read 1 newspaper for current and gk. express of hindu both equally good. this would also enhance ur reading speed for english. suppllement with a monthly liike pd or chronicle.
also most important keep referring previous yrs papers as it would give u feel of pattern of questions

I am from bangalore but studying in Noida.. I may be going to my hometown in mid december and Phase 1 is likely to be held during that time (as per last year pattern)..but i will come back by 1st week of jan to noida...and i have to be in noida till 1st week of may..in this way, I will have to appear for phase 1 in bangalore and phase 2 ( if i clear phase 1) in noida...so, is it allowed to appear in phase one in one city and appear for phase 2 in another city?

i also work full time & cleared the phase 2, of course i took 15 days sick leave.
Be in a continuous touch wid the topic & dont leave monetary management & credit controls or public finance because these are the things they expect. Alone inflation topic brought 3 questions this year.

Finally after getting bored with SBI in 1.5 years back to pagalguy & it dramatically changed but sure Pguyss still rocks ,will give this years RBI grade B exam seriously ,anyway RBI do publish notices in September or Oct regarding exam,crossing my fingers that this time vacancy may come out more than 100.
