Sorry guys,

Was missing from this thread due to my posting and the resultant mess. I'm available now, so feel free to tap me for any queries or concerns or just a confidence boost. By the way I'm posted to RBI Mumbai, so if you guys wanna catch up sometime over an evening coffee, I'm game...

All the best for your interviews and the prep... Carpe Diem!!!

when did u joined?

@ Inspiracion

I heard from some sources that your 1st posting will be definitely away from your home state. Did that apply to you too?

For how many days did you have training @ the RBI staff college in Chennai?

Whats in hand salary & other perks at RBI as a B-grade Officer?

Hi Inspiracion, i was going through The hindu for phase 1 GS paper but i am satisfied with its content. I tried to read PD,Yojana as well. will it be helpful. For english paper do i need to follow any seperate book or any other mean. Could you please state your strategy and books ,magazines. I have started to prepare but i am confused what to read. Please guide.

sorry..i wanted to add that i am not satisfied with The Hindu content. I mean i was not able to gather what is asked in previous papers.

hi Puys

good evening....... first of all a very best of luck to those who are to appear for the interviews..... i am i suppose the newest member of pagalguy...... am interested in appearing for this year's written exam of grade b..... regarding qualifications i am an MBA in finance....... and am working as probationary officer with uco bank..... my commerce part is not very strong so its the phase 2 which haunts me...... i am okay with phase 1 which i think with little extra efforts i will be able to clear....... but i am near clueless about phase 2......also my marks in the degree are a humble 56%...... theoretically i may be a bit sound but i as far as practical knowledge is concerned i consider myself nowhere as i have never read a financial newspaper in my life...... but i have a strong base and an above average writing and verbal skills......

i want to ask two first questions........first one is that when should i start preparing as far as phase 2 is concerned???? is it like the earlier i start the better it is????
and the second one is........ what to start with?????

I WANT TO CLEAR IT THIS TIME ITSELF AT ANY COST......

Hey buddy,
Nothing's 'definite' when it comes to postings. While I did get a posting away from home. There were some of my batch mates who got somewhere close to their home state. So quit worrying about arbit and concentrate on the fundas. ATB

Training in Staff College is for 6 weeks
