Hi Puys,

Glad to see a number of PUYites getting through.

Regarding a few posts:
1. Interviews should generally start about a month and a half from now. Last year the 1st centre was Chennai and the last Mumbai. The entire process would take about two months approx, since the same panel of interviewers travels to all the centres, to avoid perception bias...
2. Regarding prep for the interviews, be extremely careful while filling in the 5 copies of the bio data form, since those would be used by the panel to prepare your interview questions.

3. If you do not read newspapers currently, BEGIN NOW...the Hindu and ET should suffice for some serious study, pay special attention to news regarding RBI and its decisions. :banghead:

4. Get a general flavor and track the markets, especially the evolution since the Financial Crisis

Let me know if you need any more pointers and I will be glad to help. Responses would be a bit delayed, since I'm in training right now...Carpe Diem

Yessir they come out with vacancies every year

Inspiracion...could you please guide what to read for phase-2 exam. Specially in Economics and Finance and Management. I have Dutt and Sundaram but a bit confused what to read from it as it has vast content in it. Please help.

How tough will be the first phase exam(In comparison with other bank PO exams) and what to prepare?

Is reading Dutt n Sundaram and other finance related stuff that much important for clearing phase I?

Please guide...

any person on this forum who can let me know when we can expect notification for Grade B recruitment this year..I have tried calling RBI regarding this but it didn't work .so any of puys here who had any info on this (it can be unofficial, but reliable ) ?

Hi kumarsaurav,

I understand your predicament, TOI is individual preference, but I found Hindu to be a better paper.

If you are able to read just one paper, I would suggest ET, as it would cover both normal as well as financial news. When I say read though, I mean an in-depth study of the paper, as there may be a situation as in my interview where you may need to argue for or against the point in question...ATB

Hi Vineeth87,

The paper would be a bit tougher as compared to normal bank exams, since this is THE BANK. Dutt and Sundaram is not required per se for the 1st phase, refer my earlier posts on pep for phase 1. take care buddy

Hi VMT,

For phase 2, questions would be of a general nature. I used D&S; and found it to be an excellent book. Try to go through the index of the book alongwith the syllabus at ur side. You will find that most of the topics are individual chapters by themselves. Try to complete a preliminary reading and revise them in depth. Eco would be beneficial not only in phase 2 but in the interview rounds as well. ATB

anyone out here know when we can expect RBI grade B officer recruitment notification this year (unofficial info will also work).I called RBI also for this but they are not giving any clear response on this.. so guys please if anyone has info on this issue..do share.

@Inspiracion Did you take coaching for phase-2 exam or you managed it own your own...generally what should be the duration for the preparation of phase-2. In how many attempts you have cleared this paper?

dear insparicion, thanks for guidance. could you kindly post last years rbi grade b interview questions. what is the pattern of rbi interview a board or panel. kindly clear my doubts.

If you are preparing while working you need to start very early, like immediately after phase-1 even before u know the results. Because only then you can finish the syllabus without straining yourself.

Don't gauge your confidence based on RBI exam results. This is a highly competitive exam and many couldn't make it.

reparing for it...ATB@[550575:NMac_004]

Hi Buddy,

I prepared on my own for the exam and did not take up coaching, but you need to have single minded focus while doing it on your own. I cleared this in my 1st attempt by God's blessings, an extremely supportive family and loads of hard work. 1-1.5 months should be enough for phase 2 provided you focus. That does not mean you stop living, but just that you make the exam your no 1 priority while p
