They've selected about 1300 students in 1st phase. Thats really competitive since total applicants were abt 170k.
And those who've qualified in general category, plz tell how many questions did u attempt and with what expected accuracy??
I m a general category candidate . My attempts and expected accuracy are
GK (79, 10-15 W)
Quant(16, 1-2 W)
English(23, 5-6 W)*
Reasoning(35, 5-6 W)
* I was little worried about english. The fact is that I was uncertain for most of the questions in english
This will be my second attempt at mains . Last year got 166 in mains.:|

it is the risk due to fluctuation in the exchange rate. Suppose rupee appreciates w.r.t dollar then exporters will incur loss coz dey will receive their payment in dollars and that means they will receive less rupee equivalent. Risk is deviation from current value. It is uncertainty (can be favorable or unfavorable). It can be managed by getting into intruments like options contract. Google futures and options contracts for more detail...
Can anyone give more information about the sabbatical period offered in rbi. when is it given?. and which all universities the officers go to during this time - also how is the internal selection done?

30-45 days (4-6 hrs daily) are sufficient for preparation + revision of phase-II Exam.
Friends I am also Lucky to be in. Was worried about english with only 14 attempts. Any other PG from Chandigarh region out here?
I didn't prepare anything before result. Now, we have just about 2 months for prep. I hope I can make it count and wish other pagals the same.

There were 1434 candidates who cleared the Phase-1.
To recommend 80 out of 1434, selection board will select 1 out every 17 such candidates.
I think best 400 candidates in Phase-2 will be called for interviews. But it is good to be among top 100 to have an easy chance of clearing the interview. Other 300 will have to give a good fight to claim a place.
