Find the 28383rd term of the series 123456789101112....... ?
@surya the bacon said:Find the 28383rd term of the series 123456789101112....... ?
single digit nos 1-9 .... 9*1=9 digits
2 digit nos 10-99.....90*2=180 digits
3 digit nos 100-999...900*3=2700 digits
9+180+2700=2889 digits
Now if we consider entire 4 digits 9000*4=36000 .. 36000+2889 >28383
So we should analyse the 4 digit nos
remaining digits= 28383-2889=25494
Now 25494/4(as these are 4 digit nos)=6373 => no of 4 digit nos
So taking from 1000-7373 =>6374*4=28385 digits .. Ends with 7373
So going 2 digits backwards . 3 is the 28383 is the ans. hope i havent made any calc mistake
edit: @[399730:surya the bacon] : im getting 3 only bhai.many arun sharma keys are wrong. anyways the method to proceed is this . you can post this in official quant thread and check 😃
