1.Company produces z units of output at a total cost of R. where R=(1/10)*z^3-5z^2+10z+5. At what level of output will the avg variable cost attain its minimum?

Total cost for z items is R so avg cost will be R/z

so Avg=(1/10)*z^2-5z^+10
differentiating this and equating this to zero gives Z that is 25
1) 33^34^35 is divided by 2.remainder will be 1

33 when you divide by 2 you get the remainder 1 now this 34^35 is like multiplying 1 34^35 times so it gives you 1

2.H1,H2..Hn are n harmonic means between a and b then value of ((H1+a)/(H1-a))+((Hn+b)/(Hn-b)) is equal to?\
a) n+1 b) 2n c)2n+3 d) n-1

i'm getting 2n-4
heres how i got it

a,h1,h2,...hn,b are in hp =>1/a, 1/h1,...1/hn,1/b are in ap
1/h1=1/a+d
so h1= ad+1/a

h1+a/h1-a =2a+a^2d/-a^2d = 2+ ad/(-ad)

hn=1/a+(n-2)*d
b=1/a+(n-1)*d

Hn+b/Hn-b= 2a+2a^2dn - 3a^2d/ad

adding
-2-ad+ 2+2adn-3ad/ad = 2adn-4ad/ad = 2n-4

As per the property,

PT^2=PA*PB
=> 6^2=5(5+x)
=> 36=25+5x
=>5x=11
=>x=2.2

hi,

can anyone please help me out with the percentage calculation in Percentage Chapter 4 of the book about Percentage Graphis Method.
In the book in an example 360/.99 anbswer was solved using PERCENTAGE GRAPHIC METHOD. Could any one please explan me the principle as to how tha could be used to solve such problems and others as 360/1.05 etc

As per the property,

PT^2=PA*PB
=> 6^2=5(5+x)
=> 36=25+5x
=>5x=11
=>x=2.2

Ya man its 2.2, i got property wrong...

Hi..
here's my question -
Q. Find the sum of the series
1/(2^0.5 + 1^0.5) + 1/(2^0.5 + 3^0.5) + ......... + 1(120^0.5 + 121^0.5)

This question is from Geometry LOD- I ques.15

ans--2.
since 2 sides r given so hypotenuse'll be 10 cm...then apply d concept dat a circle has equal tangents from one point and u'll get d answer..

As you can guess that this is a Right angled Triangle having the sides 6 , 8 and 10.

x here is nothing but the inradius.

We have a formula for calculating the inradius as follows :

r = ab/a+b+c

From the above formula we get a = 6 ; b = 8 and c = 10

Now ; x = 6*8/ 6+8+10 = 2
