KOLKATA 14th Feb(Generalist) (Mains attempt-146)
There were 5 members in the panel. 1 lady(L), 4 male(M1,M2,M3,M4).
I asked their permission to come in and wished them one by one. They told me to sit.
M2(I guess he was the senior of the remaining 4)- So ur father is a retired employee. Where was he working? and what was his job role?
I replied.
M2= So u r from CSE background and also from a reknowned college.(I am for a state govt engg college.)
Me- Yes sir I am from CSE background.
M4= U got good marks in academics.
Me(I know my marks sir, can u get to the question ;) ) = Sir, I tried my level best.
M2= So I guess u got palced as well,right?
Me= Yes sir, I got placed in XXX, but I decided to opt out of the offer and didnot join the IT industry.
M2= Why did you not join it?......(He said many things, i guess for 2 or 3mins he was only lamenting and scolding me on my choice.)
Me(hurriedly)= Sir recession...... package.....government job..service to people.....good salary( I was not hesistating to answer, but he wouldnot let me answer only) :P.
M2(after 3mins of scolding)= Yea, it is your choice. Hope you have done the right thing(sarcastically).
L=Okay, Tell me the history of the OICL.

M3= u filled ur one of the preferred state as haryana? U r the first candidate to do so (laughing).. why any reason?
Me= No sir, I have no reason. My brother lives in Delhi ,but that is not the reason as I am flexible enough to move to any lcoation in which I am posted.
M3= So who is the CM of haryana?
Me=(i was cursing myself as i totally forgot his name) Sir at this moment I am not able to recollect but I can tell the governor's name.
M3(laughing)=yea go ahead.

I told about the padmavat protest, baba ram rahim protest,rapes.

Suggestion: I dont know about other locations and bathces but they grilled many students today. Keep ur cool. :) all the best (y)
