One of the eleven post-graduate schools that XIM University has under its umbrella is the School of Human Resource Management, which owes its origin to XIMB’s HR specialization program, continuing the legacy of shaping HR professionals for the last 34 years.

Initially, the PG program was offered as a functional specialization in HRM in the PGDM program. Later, in 2011, the school launched a full-fledged 2-year PGDM-HRM program. Currently, this is offered as MBA-HRM, the flagship program of the School of HRM. The school focuses on empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and long-term vision that lead to innovation, service to society, and growth.

School of HRM’s curriculum is recognized by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), USA, as conforming with global standards. The School of Rural Management is an institution under the umbrella of XIM University, which provides a 2-year post graduation degree in Rural Management, MBA-RM and a PhD in Rural Management. XIM University also offers higher studies in Human Settlement. The School of Human Settlement’ was inaugurated in July 2019.

The School of Human Settlements develops and transfers knowledge about building sustainable, liveable, and inclusive cities and communities. It also offers programs to develop planning and management expertise for public systems. At the core of its graduate degree and other programs are modules for hands-on learning, including live projects with faculty and organizations engaged in policy development and impact evaluation, technical support, and advisory with government, corporate, and civil society organizations.

The School of Human Settlements offers two highly sought after PG programs:

Sustainability Management is a unique degree offered by the university, the first of its type in the country and one of the few in the world. The course was started in 2015 with the dedication to giving back to the country and the globe with the help of continual innovation.

The school offers a two-year Master’s program in Sustainability Management, two undergraduate programs, BSc (Hons) Sustainable Development and BSc (Hons) Environmental Science, and Ph.D. in Sustainability Studies. The MBA-SM program is ranked 83rd worldwide by Eduniversal Ranking 2018 in “Sustainable Development and Environmental Management.”

The School, which is the country’s first of its kind, aims to train and nurture the next generation of leaders and managers who will establish and accelerate sustainable practices in the industry. The Communications Studio located at the XIM University New Campus houses all the modern equipment required for Film and TV Production. The studio is an excellent hub for gaining hands-on experience with all types of equipment and software.

The studio comprises a Greenroom, Shooting Floor, Panasonic HD and 4K Cameras, and a Steadicam for film and TV production. The laboratory has registered Adobe Creative Cloud (academic version) for imaging and graphic design besides Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer for actual time film and video editing.

The Acoustic Studio is an integral part of the film and television production process. The studio is equipped with the most up-to-date licensed technology, Presonus Studio One Professional, which includes a midi-keyboard and a variety of musical instruments. It has a large selection of microphones, namely Shure Cordless, Blue Bird (Spark), Bluebird Reactor, cordless hard mic, and pioneer cordless microphones. #5 International Center and Sports facilities

XIM University provides the most outstanding sports facilities, including football, basketball, badminton, cricket, tennis, table tennis, and volleyball, to stimulate individual growth and prepare students for the corporate world. Students organize a variety of competitions to provide physical relaxation as well as mental rejuvenation. In the previous academic year, the students competed in the ‘Valhalla’ sports meet at XLRI, Jamshedpur, and came in second place overall. The Student Executive Council (SEC) organizes cultural events and intellectual challenges along with sports events.

Inaugurated on February 5th, 2020, the International Center is state-of-the-art and equipped with cutting-edge technology. #6 Residential & Transportation

With the endless activities ranging from academics to extra-curricular, the campus is booming with students 24/7. Students find the campus residential facilities a second home after a long day.

There are separate residences for gents and ladies on campus. It comes in single and double sharing options. Each student is provided with a bed, wardrobe, and a study table in their room. It is equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi facility. The Residences houses a Multi-purpose Hall, Cooperative Store, and a Book Club. All residences are furnished with washing machines, water coolers, geysers, telephones, televisions, and indoor activities such as carom, pool table, foosball, and table tennis.

Along with the mess facility, which the student committee manages, the campus also houses several cafes and snack centers.
Two full-time nurses, a visiting doctor, and an ambulance facility are also available for any health concerns. And the campus is safeguarded by security guards and CCTVs.

Rural Living and Learning Experience (RLLE)
Students spend 45 days in a village to understand better the people they will be working with in the future. During these 45 days, the students research the village’s political and socioeconomic conditions and gain the wisdom and resilience with which households and communities deal.

Urban Learning Experience (ULE)
The Urban Learning Experience (ULE) connects students with urban local bodies for six weeks to better understand the city and gain hands-on experience with structured interventions and city-management techniques.

Sustainability Discovery Programme (SDP)
Students discover their potential and perspective for implementing community-based sustainability projects in this course. They learn how corporations, municipalities, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) campaign for sustainability.
