Hi All,
I am addressing this to @EPGP_IIMB, @PGPX_IIMA, @IIMCPGPEX, adcoms, deans and all my fellow puys!!
IIMs do a great job at helping students achieve their career goals. IIMs are venerable institutions and are probably the toughest to get into. Among other things that they imbibe in an individual - the value of time is of paramount importance. Based on my interactions with alums I have realized, time management and prioritization can have a deep impact one's ability to achieve career goals.
We put a lot of trust into these institutions and what they stand for. I was going through EPGP/PGPX/PGPEX forums on Pagalguy and I realized that a few of us have gone ahead and have taken the risk of betting their hard earned money on the result timelines set by IIMs. Trusting the timelines mentioned on the sites, aspirants have paid the commitment money varying from 2-4 Lakhs, assuming that they would be able to withdraw that money if they get an admit from another IIM which fits their requirement better giving them a fair chance to withdraw the commitment money. On a closer look I found that there was a "*" on the result dates. An asterisk is there to safeguard against delays which might be caused by controllable or uncontrollable factors. But, do we want our premier institutes which teach us the value of time hide behind the asterisk.
A delay in results by a day can lead an aspirant losing as much as Rs 4 Lakhs. For few of us that is what we earn in a year, save over a period of 5 years or so. All that is gone because our venerable institutes dint honor the timeline?
This thing happened with a few students during R1. I hope adcoms, student councils take notice of this post and ensure that R2 results are published on the day they are supposed to be published if not earlier.

P.S - I know fellow puys might think that - this post becomes irrelevant if results are announced before 7th Jan for IIMB. But this post is not just for upcoming results but for all results to follow.
