Life@TAPMI – Kannada Rajyotsava

The Kannadigas of TAPMI in association with the Welfare committee recently celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava.

The celebrations included a display of Huli Vesha (Tiger Dance) which is a folk dance unique to the coastal region of Karnataka. The students witnessed the display of the local culture and shook a leg along with the dance group.

The cohort were presented with a banquet of local delicacies which were thoroughly savored by one and all.

Greetings From TAPMI!

PGP-1 vs PGP-2, a true TAPMI Tradition, where the seniors and juniors settle the age old rivalry on the field. The one of the most exciting evenings at TAPMI, consisted of 4 matches Throwball (Girls) and Volleyball (Boys), and Basketball (Girls and Boys)

The nail biting drama that unfolded, led to a complete whitewash of PGP-1 in the first two games.  When the luck seemed to shine on the juniors, and adrenaline running high, PGP-2 seemed to outshine their juniors, with a clear victory!

With PGP-2 crowned as winners, the most awaited match of PGP-1 VS PGP-2 came to a close!

 Greetings From TAPMI!

The Literary and Media Committee of TAPMI (LiMe) organised “ABHIVYAKTI- A Gateway to Unbounded Expression”. It is an open-mic event where students are given a platform to express themselves in any form of literary art. It was born out of the need to provide a safe space for students to freely  express themselves, liberating them of inhibitions and judgements.

The main attraction of the event is the “Circle of Trust”, an illuminated realm, where students are encouraged to allow their thoughts to flow through their words and actions. Participants showcased their creativity through beautiful paintings, soulful poetry and strong recitals that touched the hearts of the audience.

Greetings from TAPMI!

The Bikers, Runners and Trekkers Club (B.R.A.T.S) comprises of a group of enthusiastic students who organize bike trips, runs and treks. This weekend they organised a trek to Kavaledurga fort which is 80 kms from the campus. The distance was covered on bikes. The journey started at 6 a.m in the morning in two groups, each having 15 bikes. It was a breathtaking experience for both the riders and pillion. After reaching the location around, they began the trek, which was for a distance of 3 kms, through the forest and the fort, right to the hill top. Like someone once said, “the best view comes after the hardest climb”, this journey proved exactly that.

The Piramal Tangram Challenge started in November 2019, with 1800+ teams from 48 premier institutions in the campus round to over 14 teams in Round 4. In the final round, 5 teams were shortlisted for presenting in front of the Piramal Promoters Family.

The challenge given to them was the design and implementation of water conservation efforts so that their long term impact over a place where ground water level is nearing zero is sustainable. Our student team - 'Madhurya', consisting of Shashank Kamath, Vishnu Vardhan, Simran Tejuja, Shomit Sengupta and Venugopal K, has emerged as the winner of this challenge. The grand prize consisted of a Marvelous Trophy and a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh.

With the guidance of our professors and support from the institution, our students have been able to achieve this remarkable feat.
