Hi Uphar ,

I am from Pune as well and have been called for evaluations on the 13th of October !

Normally we dont receive any confirmation from the college once u send the reco to them...However, u can always ask them whether they have received the same by quoting ur application no...

Hi,

can anyone confirm whether we receive a confirmation from SP Jain stating that the recco letters have reached them or not.??..I dispatched them on thursday..also how long does it usually take to know the satus of application from the time of submission...??...

Hey Mitul,

CONGRATS !!!!
would you please share ur Evaluation eexperiences..how was the gd/pi like?

THANX

Hi,
I would like to know a little about the aptitude test being conducted this coming weekend. Could someone experienced or rutty please tell me the break up of the section wise questions, no. of questions, difficulty level and types of questions asked.
Just like we all have an idea about the CAT format, im basically lookng to understand this test's format..is it an online test??
Would appreciate a quick response since the test is scheduled this sunday. Thanks a lot

hey buddy thanks,
I am writing down my exp...Hope it may be useful for the people in future...

First of all, u will have to pen down 2 essays in 20 mins...Essays will be general topic based...most likely on the self .........

Essays will be different for all...It will be written in ur own question paper...

Then u will have to write a business case study...It is of 20 mins and this too will be different for all..

After that there will be GD in a group of around 8 people...The topics are also very general, nothing specific.....10 mins...

Then will be a personal interview....here u need to convince the panel why u have selected the specific specialization and relate it to ur work ex.....Ur work ex is the main turning point for the interview and the selection...All questions will revolve around work ex...SO just show ur confidence to themmm....

Finally there will be Director Interview.....It will be short and sweet.....Here too the same kind of questions....Be confident.....

So all the best buddy....

I am writing the experience of the test which we gave,,,,It can be different than this..or may be the same format...But still whatever i gave, i am writing here...

The test is of 1 hour. Its computer based test..6 sections...verbal, quant, reasoning, DI, RC and GK.

1 hour is divided between all these sections...SO it may happen that some section may be of 8 mins and 9 mins and soo on...total adding to 60 mins....

The no of questions was also varying .. like in RC it was one Para with 4 questions and in DI also, one problem was there with about 4-5 questions and other sections also consisted of on an average 12-14 questions...

Level of difficulty is ok...Not too touch not too easy...

As far as negative marking is concerned, i am not sure....U can ask the invigilator during the exam time....

thats all...just give the best shot...

hey,

there's negative marking for the SPJAT...u will have to be real quick in getting done with ur sections coz they are timed n if u dont complete answering all the qsns, the sys jumps to the next section on its own (of course, with a 2 min warning)...but i did not have any such issues...am sure even u can crack it pretty well...good luck n keep us posted...:)

I was evaluated on 1st of sept in the 8.30 batch.....there were about 20 -25 candidates....All of us had the same topics as i mentioned in my previous post.

There were other batches at 11.30 and 2.30 that day followed by 3 more batches on 2nd of September. I'm not aware of the topics of these groups. Requesting junta from these batches to help the aspirants!!

Hi,
Well even i would share my experiences with the aspirants..
I appeared for the vealuation on the 2nd September.
there were 2 essays: I dont remember the topics as such but One asked about any significant change that you have led to (professionally) and the other was to write about any failure u had had and how it effected you.
There was a case study where u were an owner of Indian goods and had to suggest strategies to market your goods globally.
The GD had topics :High attrition rate-who's responsible?
Panel asked general questions about your goals, ur work ex, why MBA?
Personal questions is also the same...
well all in all the whole evaluation process is made very very comfortable by the faculty there!
just be confident, be honest (they are really smart ppl there...dont try and act smart)
All the veryyyyyyy best to all the aspirants..!!
