HI All,
Also wanted to know about the evaluation process for GMBA.. how and what to prep?
Hello Everyone,
I am from the pioneer batch of MGB(Nov'12 intake). I see many of you are interested to know about the placements of the first MGB batch. So let me end this confusion for good.
As I was going through some of the posts here, this one caught my eye where 'SPJainGlobal' claims: "100% placement for the first passed out MGB batch"!! Ridiculous!!
Let me tell you guys, the actual placement figure stands at less than 50%. And mind you, they can twist and turn a lot of things. By placement, I think(hope) they mean internships, or else they are just lying directly to your face!
According to their website, they have given a list of companies in which the students have been placed. The list is wrong as no one is 'placed' in some of the mentioned companies. We have even reported this to the SP Jain management as this is fraud and false marketing but no action has been taken until now. Those companies are still listed under 'final placements' and the best part is that one of them didn't even come for internships let alone placements!
'Most of the students who got placed' converted their internships into a full time opportunity. Rest(majority) had to struggle as college would get unrelated roles and expect us to join! On a rare occasion, there would be a related job opportunity with one vacancy and more than 10/12 people would apply. And for some companies that came through college, students have applied but no response from them, nothing! It makes me wonder whether it was a real opportunity or just a fake one to give us some kind of hope! And you can all inquire from any student of MGB batch just how "effective" and "responsible" the placement committee is! They feel it as a burden to place these new 100+ students who were not there until the previous year as this is the first batch!
Note that college will only provide the above mentioned placement services to students with 3+ GPA. If you have less than 3, you better
convert your internship(depends on the company and region as well),
or have really good contacts who can give you a guaranteed job,
or join your family business if you have one.
If you have worked hard, tried on your own by talking to a 100 people and finally got your job, college might still claim that "they" have given placement.
IBWM(batch of 28) has the worst placement record with more than half the batch still trying on their own to secure a job.
GLSCM(batch of 30) has done better in comparison.
Marketing(batch of 60+), you can imagine how this will be!
And what's with the rankings?!! I don't get it. They say they are No. 1 is Austalia, but zero placements there! They say they are No. 19/No. X in the world. In Singapore, students have done internships for 4 months in various companies and everyone discovered one thing while interacting with the employees and other people: "Nobody knew that a college(university) named SP Jain even exists". At least in Dubai, some might recognize the college. Forget Australia. Then what is the meaning of these rankings when the employers don't even have a clue about your college?!! What value does it bring to the students directly? Looks like its only for: Duniya ko pappu banane ke liye!
In conclusion, this course is quite expensive. If you are investing about 25L into this, you should know what is really happening and not follow what they write/ show on their website. In the end, it is up to you to decide whether you will take the course or not and the best way to know about the college/ any course is to talk to the students who can share their first hand experience.
PS: If you have any complaints/ queries regarding the above material, please share it in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.
Cheers!

Hi,
I have prepared and submitted my GMBA application. However, I am not able to give the SPJAT on June 15th, 2014 as I will be out of station. Please let me know the dates of SPJAT after June 15th for September intake.
Hi SP Jain Team,
Should you have already applied to the GMBA/MGB program, your application would now be assessed in totality keeping your score in mind. If found meeting S P Jain's criteria you would be sent a call letter for evaluations in due course.Should you have not applied to us yet, we suggest that you do so at the earliest as we have the next round of evaluation scheduled as under:
June 8, 2014 : Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore "
Since I have already applied for the course (GMBA), I want to know that when will the evaluations call be send?
Thanks and Regards
Does the Sydney campus offer the EMBA course?
Which country's degree do the students get after graduating from the BBA program as it is a tri-city course?
How many years of work experience required for the GMBA program?
How long is the MGB program?
I have a heard a lot about S P Jain's tri-city BBA program but I am keen in knowing which country's degree the students get as the course is stretched over three different countries.
