We thank you for your interest in our GMBA (September 2013 Intake) program. We have scrutinized your application and note that you fall short on one of our admission criteria which requires a student to have a score.

As someone who is fairly well acquainted with SP Jain's GMBA program, let me shed some light on how things really are here. I know the SP Jain people are going to be angry for sharing this, but I think it's for the public good and people should have more transparent information when making important life decisions.
Pros:
- 1 year mba
- Decent Faculty
- Friendly support staff
- Potential job opportunities in the Gulf region
Cons:
- Run like business, rather than a proper educational institution
- Quality of job profiles is extremely poor
- Big names companies don't come to recruit, if they do, it will be for roles most people won't be looking for.
- Low to no brand recognition abroad or in India. Don't be fooled by the rankings. SP Jain Mumbai has good value, GMBA does not. Most people in Singapore, Australia, and UAE will have never heard of SP Jain's program in their own countries. You may have a chance in India if you manage to fool someone into thinking that you're from SP Jain Mumbai.
- Little to no diversity of students. There is diversity in the BBA programs, but not in MGB or GMBA programs.
- A lot of people struggle to find jobs after this program. Usually find it through their own efforts. It's worrisome considering the amount you spend. In fact the placement team will actively try to push students to apply to whatever job is offered with complete disregard for the student's career aspirations.
- Sheer lying implemented to attract prospective students and denial of relevant information to them to make more informed decisions. If anyone asks a relevant question, they'll most likely be ignored. Quite unethical practices if I do say so myself. There are other unethical practices as well, but I cannot share the details here.
Of course you should be realistic when attending this college. This is no IIM or even an SP Jain Mumbai. At the end of the day the MBA is rather Indian in nature, right from the students being treated like little children to anything else that is characteristic of a typical Indian MBA program. The travel is the only thing that makes it Global. The marketing and logistics people struggle to get decent jobs. The finance program is inaptly named Investment Banking and Wealth Management considering that nary an Investment Bank comes to recruit. The IT specialization is relatively decent in terms of placements. Get ready to put in your own efforts to find a decent job that aligns with your career objectives. You'll be told early and often to lower your expectations in terms of placements. This is not to say that people don't get placed at all. People do get placed, but their expectations are usually crushed in the process. If you are not concerned about the kind of role you get, then it might be ok for you.
If you have the money to spend and are finding it difficult to get into a decent 2nd tier or 3rd tier Indian MBA program, then this program is for you, as they let just about anybody in. If you are planning to take a loan to do this program, it's a risky proposition, unless you have solid work experience and good connections. Just like any MBA program, you will make friends for life, so there's that. But that's something that any MBA program can provide.
I'll be able to answer more questions probably if need be, unless I am banned from posting anything more.
